LOUIS, Ill. - East St. Louis residents take aim at the East St. Louis Housing Authority, saying it’s letting conditions at a senior citizen building deteriorate, causing misery for residents there.A tenant of the building at 14th and Missouri Avenue, Velma Clark, said there are a host of problems. She said she had to set up at least six traps for infestations of bugs and mice in the kitchen. The wall in the bathroom is in terrible shape, as is the faucet on the bathtub. 2 injured in gas explosion at Lake Elsinore Storm ballpark A gas explosion at the Lake Elsinore minor league baseball stadium sent two people to the hospital on Friday afternoon.Authorities received reports of the explosion at Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium, or Storm Stadium, around 4:21 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department and Cal Fire.Two people were burned and were transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.The stadium is home to the Lake Elsinore Storm, a Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.The stadium was evacuated and the Storm's game against the Inland Empire 66ers on Friday night was postponed.“Due to an incident at the stadium, today and tomorrow’s game will be postponed until further notice,” the team announced on Twitter.The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Local gas companies were notified and responded to the scene. Around 6:17 p.m., the gas leak was contained. Man arrested on suspicion of shouting racial slurs, trying to ram driver in Oakland OAKLAND – A 61-year-old Newark man has been arrested on suspicion of shouting racial slurs at a fellow driver earlier this week on Interstate 880 in Oakland and then trying to ram the victim’s vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.The incident, which was recorded and shared on social media, occurred around 4 p.m. Tuesday on southbound I-880 near Hegenberger Road, the CHP said in a statement.Taken from the victim’s vehicle, the video captures a man in a Jeep Wrangler shouting racial slurs at the victim.
