Oakland: Woman shot near Fruitvale BART station OAKLAND – A woman was shot Friday afternoon in East Oakland near the Fruitvale BART station, police said.The shooting was reported about 2:40 p.m. on East 12th Street between 34th and 35th avenues. The woman was found shot inside a vehicle; her age and condition were not available.More than a dozen shell casings were recovered at the scene. Some parked vehicles and buildings were also hit by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.A motive for the shooting is under investigation. Police have not announced any arrests.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Eliyanah Crisostomo was riding with her family on the I-880 near Fremont last Saturday when she was shot and killed.
