State police: Tractor-trailer spills polyurethane on Route 95 in Weston, closing lanes

Most of Route 95 south was closed to traffic in Weston after officials say a tractor-trailer accident resulted in polyurethane being spilled on the highway.Massachusetts State Police said troopers and Weston Fire Department crews responded to the incident, which closed several lanes after a truck spilled a “load of polyurethane,” forcing traffic to be redirected through a breakdown lane some time before 10 a.m.On Twitter, the MassDOT said the roadway spill was in the area of Exit 39A, by Route 30. By 10:40 a.m., SKY7HD spotted several firefighters spreading sand across the spill, with a tractor-trailer truck pulled off to the side of the road, parked on a patch of grass. (CNN) — The US has announced a $1.2 billion aid package to Ukraine intended to “bolster its air defenses” and “sustain its artillery ammunition needs,” with Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russian forces looming.The package includes 155mm artillery rounds, additional air defense systems and munitions, and drone ammunition, as well as equipment to help “integrate Western air defense launchers, missiles, and radars” with Ukraine’s existing systems.First reported by The Associated Press, the package will fall under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which means it will be contracted and purchased from manufacturers instead of pulled directly from Defense Department stocks in a drawdown. The Boston Police Department has issued a “Missing Person Alert” for an 11-year-old boy who was last seen leaving his school on Monday, according to authorities.The police department said Jean Pierre Bienquisto was last sighted around 2:15 p.m. as he left his school on Mildred Avenue. Truck slams into Polish bus in Germany, injuring dozens

BERLIN (AP) — A highway collision between a long-distance Polish bus and a truck injured dozens of people in eastern Germany, police in Poland and German news agency dpa reported.The crash happened Tuesday on the A 12 highway in the state of Brandenburg between the towns of Storkow and Fredersdorf.German police said 52 people were hurt, including 10 with severe injuries, dpa said. One person was said to be in critical condition.Three helicopters, ambulances and police officers were on the scene, and the section of highway was closed.
