Crowds gather to support El Segundo team in Little League World Series Fans, families and friends of team El Segundo, a little league baseball team playing their first game in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania Thursday, gathered in local restaurants to support the hometown squad.  On Saturday, the team met up for a 4 a.m. bus ride to the Ontario International and then flew all the way to Williamsport, PA., where they are considered one of the favorites among the 10 teams from the U.S. There are also 10 international teams in the series.  “We’ve never had a team go to the World Series before,” El Segundo Little League President Jamin Griffiths told KTLA. “I don’t think in a district of...eight different leagues around the South Bay, I don’t think they’ve ever had anybody go to the World Series before. Man seen on TikTok video lurking near women in Burbank arrested again A man who was seen in a TikTok video lurking near women in Burbank was arrested again after being released from jail a day earlier.This marks the second time the suspect, Calese Crowder, 37, was arrested within a week, Glendale Police said.Crowder was seen in a viral video lurking extremely close to 28-year-old Michaela Witter’s legs while she was browsing at a Barnes & Noble store on Aug. 7.Believing Witter was unaware, Crowder is seen crouching down low and getting extremely close to Witter’s legs. 72-acre South Bay brush fire impacts traffic on US-101 (KRON) -- A brush fire burning in the South Bay Wednesday afternoon is impacting traffic, according to a 511 alert. Cal Fire's Santa Clara Unit said the fire has torched 72 acres and is 95% contained. The fire is near northbound US-101, north of Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill. California Highway Patrol issued a severe traffic alert, and the right lane of northbound US-101 is blocked. "Firefighters are making good progress and continue to build and strengthen control lines," Cal Fire said. It has been named the Cochrane Fire. Drivers are told to expect delays and avoid the area.
