Missouri and Kansas governors commit to #DisagreeBetter

ST. LOUIS -- Republican Missouri Governor Mike Parson and Democratic Kansas Governor Laura Kelly have joined the National Governors Association's Disagree Better initiative. The governors recently met over Kansas City BBQ to discuss areas of agreement and how to handle disagreements constructively.Parson highlighted previous collaborations to benefit the Kansas City Region and emphasized the importance of showing that even in disagreements, they can find common ground. Kelly stressed the need to work across state and party lines for the region's economic growth."In 2019, we came together to end the Kansas City Border War and to support the relocation of two key USDA agencies to Kansas City. CSU skilled workers take to picket lines to protest low pay

California State University workers are holding a one-day strike Tuesday to protest what they describe as unfairly low pay.The workers' union, Teamsters Local 2010, is in contract talks with the system after their contract expired at the end of June, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department found five firearms, cash and more than a pound of drugs when searching a "suspicious vehicle" containing four Victorville teens and young adults early Saturday afternoon, officials said.At about 12:45 p.m. in the 13300 block of Highway 395, a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, and when he approached, the deputy spotted "a high-capacity magazine on the center console and a Kimber 1911 on the driver’s lap," officials said in a news release.In addition to the 1911, investigators also found a Glock 9mm, Polymer80 9mm, Derringer-style .22 pistol and an AK-47-style Draco 9mm, as well as "one-half pound of marijuana, one-half pound of suspected psychedelic mushrooms, digital scales, packaging materials, and currency," the department said. André 3000 is dropping new music for the first time in almost two decades. On Tuesday morning, the artist made the announcement to fans in a post to Instagram. It showed an illustration of the Atlanta native holding a flute. "André 3000 New Blue Sun November 17 2023," the caption read. The flute is notable, as this won't be a rap album, and André won't be singing. All he is doing is playing the flute and lots of it.
