By MATTHEW DALY (Associated Press)WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans on Thursday approved a sprawling energy package that seeks to undo virtually all of President Joe Biden’s agenda to address climate change. The legislation would sharply increase domestic production of oil, natural gas and coal, and ease permitting restrictions that delay pipelines, refineries and other projects. It would boost production of critical minerals such as lithium, nickel and cobalt that are used in electric vehicles, computers, cellphones and other products.By a 225-204 vote, the House sent the measure to the Senate, where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called it “dead on arrival.” Biden has threatened to veto the bill, saying it would replace “pro-consumer policies” adopted in the landmark climate law approved last year “with a thinly veiled license to pollute.” The bill would roll back Democratic investments in clean energy and ”pad oil and...Woman dead, man jailed after fatal shooting near Cherry Creek Reservoir

The "Babylon" actor reportedly sold his property for $39 million. He purchased it in 1994 for $1.7 million from "Elvira" star Cassandra Peterson. Over the years, Pitt grew the estate into a massive compound by acquiring lots near the land and filling it with a swimming pool, tennis court and skating rink, according to People. Pitt once shared the home with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children until the couple separated in 2016. He quietly put the house on the market in January for $40 million, according to People at the beginning of the year. Sources told the magazine that the two-time Oscar winner was looking to downsize. On April 20, manager Bob Melvin will begin writing a fourth superstar into the lineup when Fernando Tatis Jr. is eligible to return from an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.Shockingly, the Padres will have a bigger payroll than the Dodgers, who have won nine of the last 10 NL West titles.
